Sylvania trash rates stay same; recycling shifts schedule

Rates will not increase for trash collection in Sylvania for 2013.

Last week, members of Sylvania City Council unanimously approved a three-year extension with Allied Waste Systems.

Allied agreed not to raise rates in 2013 due to the renewal. But while garbage pick-up service will continue weekly, recycling service will move to every two weeks. Larger carts for recyclables will be delivered to residents in late February or early March.
