Mailboxes damaged by plows to be repaired

Perrysburg Township will replace residents’ mailboxes if the blade of a snowplow strikes it and damages it, according to its policy.

The township will replace fallen mailboxes with a galvanized mailbox on a 4x4 post, covering all expenses.

If a mailbox is damaged any other way, the township will erect the damaged mailbox so that the owner can continue to receive mail. Any expenses to replace mailboxes that were not directly hit by a plow blade will be the responsibility of the owner, the township said.
