6 free tree-disposal sites open in Toledo

Toledo has opened six disposal locations for Christmas trees that will be accepted at no charge as long as all decorations, trunk bags, or other foreign material has been removed from them.

The drop-off sites at Jermain Park, Schneider Park, Detwiler Park, Ravine Park II, the Laskey Road entrance to Bowman Park, and the Darrell entrance to Greenwood Park will accept trees through Jan. 14. Collected trees will be ground into mulch.

There is no curbside pickup of Christmas trees in Toledo.
