A Toledo man has sued Lucas County, Sheriff James Telb, and several employees of the county jail claiming that a knee injury was neglected and that he did not receive proper medication for liver disease while he was in custody at the jail.

Brandon Robinson filed the complaint Dec. 21 in U.S. District Court in Toledo. The lawsuit asks for punitive and compensatory damages in excess of $3 million. Robinson was in custody awaiting disposition on both state and federal cases, including sex trafficking of a minor in which he was sentenced Dec. 3 in federal court to 96 months in prison.
