$16.8 million plan OK’d in Sandusky County

12/28/2012

FREMONT — Sandusky County commissioners Thursday approved a $16.8 million spending plan for next year that does not include money for county employee raises.

The budget is about $600,000 less than the 2012 appropriations. Commissioners said they anticipate a drop of about $300,000 in local property tax revenue and a similar reduction in state funding.

Nonunion county employees received a 3 percent raise in 2012 — the first increase in four years.
