Temporary all-way stop signs have been installed at a Sylvania Township intersection near a new elementary school pending plans to build a modern roundabout there next summer, the Lucas County Engineer’s Office announced.
The Central Trail Elementary on Mitchaw Road, just north of Sylvania Avenue, is to open in January.
A roundabout is under design for the Mitchaw-Sylvania intersection, but stop signs were posted last week on Sylvania at Mitchaw in the interim. Previously, only traffic on Mitchaw was required to stop.
The new school replaces Central Elementary.
