Toledo area’s 1st baby of ’13 delivered at Flower

Proud parents Brittany Spoldt and Dan Poulin hold the Toledo area's first baby of 2013 Eli John. Eli was born at Flower Hospital in Sylvania at 1:28 a.m.

The Toledo area's first New Year's baby made his arrival at Flower Hospital, one hour and 28 minutes into 2013.

Eli John was born at 1:28 a.m. to parents Britney Stoldt and Daniel Poulin of Toledo. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 21 inches long.

And while Flower Hospital in Sylvania claimed the honor of delivering the area's first baby, Toledo Hospital was a close second with a baby born at 3:31 a.m. followed by a baby born at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee born at 4:34 a.m.

Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, was a distant fourth with a baby delivered at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
