Prayer service set for Russian orphans
1/5/2013The Friends of Russian Orphans group is to hold a worship and prayer service for Russian orphans at 4 p.m. Sunday at McCord Road Christian Church, 4765 N. McCord Rd., Sylvania.
The service follows the Russian government’s recent decision to ban adoptions of Russian children by American parents. Friends of Russian Orphans is a Sylvania-based not-for-profit group that provides aid to Russian orphans and helps organize visits by Russian orphans to the United States.
