MILLBURY, Ohio -- A Clyde, Ohio, woman suffered serious injuries today in a two-vehicle, head-on collision on State Rt. 51 near Fostoria Road.

Evelyn Earhart, 31, had to be extricated from her Ford Taurus and was airlifted to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly the Medical College of Ohio, after the noon crash, said State Highway Patrol troopers. Her condition was not immediately available from hospital officials.

A Bellevue, Ohio, man and woman also were injured in the collision.

Ms. Earhart was traveling northwest on Ohio 51 when troopers say she went left of center and struck a southeast-traveling Chysler minivan being driven by Robert Fay, 67, of Bellevue. Mr. Fay and a passenger in his car, Rose Fay, 67, also of Belleuve, were both transported to St. Charles Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Authorities report that Ms. Earhart was not wearing a seat belt. The Fays were wearing their seat belts, troopers report.
