Nonprofit, bank, K100 plan pet food drive

Humane Ohio is teaming with K100 radio and Huntington Bank to collect pet food From Feb. 11 to Feb. 23.

The Toledo nonprofit organization, which runs a pet food bank for those in need in Lucas, Wood, and Monroe counties, hopes to collect at least 5,000 pounds of dog and cat food.

Donations can be made at 29 Huntington Bank branches in the Toledo area, including Bowling Green and Lambertville.

K100 will broadcast live at Huntington Bank’s Westgate branch, 3546 W. Central Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon, Feb. 16, and at Huntington Bank’s Perrysburg branch, 131 Louisiana Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 20. Donations also can be dropped at Humane Ohio, 3131 Tremainsville Rd., between 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
