Sylvania City Council is considering changing the zoning rules that regulate storage of recreational vehicles.

During a zoning and annexation committee meeting Thursday, members proposed amending the code to require that boats and recreational vehicles be stored no closer than three feet from front property lines and five feet from the side.

The proposal arises because RVs have become larger over the years, and neighbors are increasingly concerned about their long-term storage on properties. City council will review the proposal today at 7:30 p.m.
