Part of W. Sylvania Avenue shut because of gas leak

Sylvania Township police have closed West Sylvania Avenue between Holland Sylvania and McCord roads to traffic because of a possible natural gas leak.

The odor of gas was reported to police about 5 p.m. today by a passerby, a dispatcher said, adding that authorities are looking for the source of the odor.
