Circus offers fun for all ages

The SeaGate Convention Centre, 401 Jefferson Ave., will host the 62nd annual Zenobia Shrine Circus this weekend. Highlights will include clowns, motorcycle stunts, trapeze artists, contortionists, and animal acts. Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. today; 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday; 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday. ProMedica St. Luke's Hospital will host Shots 4 Tots from noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m., today. The event, sponsored by the Ohio Department of Health through a grant from Healthy Communities Foundation, will provide immunizations for area children. The MMR booster shot for seventh graders will be available. The event will take place in classroom 2 at ProMedica St. Luke's, 5901 Monclova Rd., Maumee. No appointment is needed. High-energy blues rockers Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials will heat up the Basin St. Grille, 5201 Monroe St., Sunday night in a show sponsored by the Black Swamp Blues Society. The Alligator recording artists play a mix of rock, blues, and rhythm and blues. The band has been together for 25 years and has won numerous blues music awards. Show time is 6 p.m. and tickets are $18 and $16 for Black Swamp Blues Society members. Information: www.bsbs.net.
