Tyler Shoup of Toledo bends to get a look at Barry Conley’s car after Mr. Conley, behind the tree, crashed into a tree while exiting I-75 onto Erie Street in Toledo. Mr. Conley, of Bowling Green, said he was on his way to work about 10 a.m. Monday when his car slipped on an icy patch on the exit ramp. Mr. Shoup had stopped to see whether he needed help. The spring snowstorm snarled traffic and caused accidents throughout the region, as it delivered 1.3 inches at Toledo Express Airport and packed a heavier punch south of a line from Defiance to Bowling Green to Tiffin.
