1st Honor Flight of ’13 scheduled for April 30

The 2013 flying season for Honor Flight Northwest Ohio begins on April 30, when 74 veterans, mostly from World War II, will travel to Washington.

As the first flight of the season, the event has been designated the “Ronald Miller Memorial Flight,” which remembers the Genoa American Legion Band announcer by the same name who died in December.

Applications for upcoming flights are still being accepted. Future flights for veterans are being planned for May, June, and October For information, visit honorflightnwo.org.
