Birders workshop slated for Century House Cabin

LAMBERTVILLE — The Century House Cabin in Lambertville will host a workshop by avian expert Bob Pettit on April 20 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Parking is available at the cabin, 6829 Summerfield Rd., or across the street.

The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a pen and notebook, electronic devices such as iPods and smart phones, binoculars, and warm clothing if needed for the outdoors.

Mr. Pettit, a retired biology professor at Monroe County Community College, is the founder of the Erie Shores Birding Association, and will offer instruction for beginning birders. Topics will include use of a field guide, field etiquette, and bird topography and identification.
