2,500 Toledo Edison customers without power after single-vehicle accident

About 2,500 Toledo Edison customers in Point Place were without power late tonight after a vehicle crashed into a power pole, authorities said.

All but 13 customers had their power restored by 10:30 p.m., said Hans Rosebrock, area manager.

The crash was reported about 9:30 p.m. on Summit and 115th streets. A person in the vehicle was taken by paramedics to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. A condition was not available.
