CASTALIA, Ohio — The body of a Castalia teenager was exhumed Wednesday and was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for a second autopsy.

Authorities this morning disinterred Jacob Limberios, 19, who died in March, 2012, of a gunshot wound to the head. His grave is located in Castalia Cemetery in Erie County.

The family arranged for the first autopsy after local officials refused to do one and the Sandusky County coroner ruled the death a suicide. A pathologist hired by the family indicated he believed Mr. Limberios’ death was a homicide.

The family opposed a second disinterment, done Wednesday at the order of Sandusky County Coroner Dr. John Wukie.

Tiffin attorney Dean Henry, the special prosecutor in the criminal investigation who also represents Dr. Wukie in a lawsuit filed by the family challenging the manner of the death, said he expects the autopsy to be conducted in time for the body to be buried again next week.
