The City of Sylvania is bringing back Movie Night.

The City of Sylvania, Downtown Sylvania Association, and Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring two movie nights under the stars.

Main Street will be a cinema, showing two movies for free at the third annual Taking it to the Streets Movie Night, in celebration of no school for summer. The street will be closed from Erie to Monroe Street. Residents are invited to bring, chairs, blankets, and other outdoor seating to watch The Lorax on June 13 and Madagascar 3 on Aug. 8.

A professional dog trainer, Hope Cuevas from Sit Means Sit Dog Training, will be on hand with dogs to conduct a miniseminar giving children tips on how to safely interact with dogs. Theater snack foods will be available, including funnel cake, hot dogs, ice cream, and Popsicles.

The event starts at 7 p.m. with movies at dusk, or about 9:30 p.m. For information, visit www.sylvaniachamber.org.
