Outdoor fun begins this week in downtown Perrysburg, with Music at the Market and First Friday events starting back up.

Music at the Market will be Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m. through Aug. 22 — with the exception of July 4 — after the Perrysburg Farmer’s Market. West Central Quartet, a band based in Fort Wayne, Ind., kicks off the Music at the Market concert series this summer. The band blends traditional jazz instrumental classics and contemporary pop songs and presents it in a jazz format. The concert will take place in the lawn of the Commodore Building. If it rains it will move inside to the auditorium.

First Friday will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday through September in downtown Perrysburg. This Friday’s event will include a family-fun house, Chortie the Clown, YMCA Fun Bus that has kids activities and face painting, a miniature train, bubble machine, and rock climbing wall on one side of Second Street. On the other side, Jeff Tucker on the Beach will be performing. The event is in conjunction with Relay For Life, which will take place at the Commodore Building Friday evening through Saturday morning.
