GOP chooses Russel for Findlay City Council

FINDLAY — Hancock County Republican Party Central Committee members have selected Grant Russel to fill an opening on the Findlay City Council.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of former 3rd Ward Councilman K.C. Collette, who left his seat last month.

Mr. Russel was among the May primary winners for an at-large council seat and will be on the ballot in November. He said he will serve the remainder of the 3rd Ward term — until the end of the year. Mr. Russel, who works at Marathon Petroleum Co., was sworn in on Tuesday.
