PAULDING, Ohio — A man was killed in Emerald Township on Friday afternoon after a small tractor he was operating rolled over and trapped him underneath.

William J. Weippert, Sr., 80, was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor overturned because it was operated too close to a ditch, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office said. Mr. Weippert was cutting the grass along a field when the incident occurred. The investigation is continuing.
