Northwood adjusts fees for use of city facilities

Northwood City Council has set new user fees for municipal facilities. The cost of the Central Park shelter is $25 for residents and $35 for nonresidents. Use of Brentwood Park’s shelter and kitchen is $100 for residents and $125 for nonresidents; use of the shelter is $25 for residents and $35 for nonresidents. The security deposit is $100.

The cost of the Josie Reinhart Community Room on weekdays is $75 for residents and $125 for nonresidents. On Fridays and Saturdays, the respective fees are $250 and $300, and on Sundays costs are $150 and $200. For funerals, the cost to residents is $75 and nonresidents $125. The security deposit is $200.

Council also approved a 2 percent pay increase for managers. The new salaries are: city administrator, $78,834; police chief, $76,500; fire chief, $26,785; director of public service, $64,525; finance and revenue director, $69,054; clerk of court, $51,080; planning and zoning coordinator, $46,359, and police captain, $68,276.

Council also approved Mayor Mark Stoner’s appointment of Louis Fahrbach to the zoning appeals board for a term of five years.
