BELLEVUE, Ohio — Nearly three miles of bike lane are to be built along a Sandusky County road under the largest of six Transportation Enhancement Program projects in northwest Ohio, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced Friday.
The $994,224 project along County Road 177 west of Bellevue will serve as an extension of the North Coast Inland Trail.
Other area projects are:
● 3.3 miles of bike-lane improvements on Main Street in Lima, for $160,492.
● Construction of a path 10 feet wide and about 8,400 feet long around the Defiance reservoir.
● The $285,792 rehabilitation of the Mull Covered Bridge in Sandusky County.
● Bike-lane improvements along State Rt. 163 in Marblehead, Ohio, for $264,704.
● 3,993 feet of new sidewalk along Route 163 on the west side of Port Clinton, between the Portage River drawbridge and Richey Road, for $180,720.
