More I-75 work to close 2 lanes over weekend

9/6/2013

Concrete pavement patching that has closed a northbound lane on I-75 through Monroe this week will expand into the center lane for the weekend, closing two of three lanes, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced.

Starting at 9 p.m. today, northbound traffic will be restricted to a single lane between LaPlaisance Road (Exit 11) and I-275. Long delays are likely Saturday and Sunday, especially during the afternoons. The double-lane closing is scheduled to end by 6 a.m. Monday.

A southbound I-75 lane closing for bridge work near South Otter Creek Road (Exit 9) is scheduled to end by 9 a.m. Monday.
