Way Library sets events on immigration, Facebook

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Way Public Library in Perrysburg will offer a free program on the history and future of immigration.

Dale Lanigan, chairman of the department of sociology and justice studies at Lourdes University, will be the speaker.

His talk will include information on the history of immigration, policy, the state of immigration in the United States, and the debate over immigration legislation.

The Women Voters of Perrysburg is sponsoring the event.

From 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the library will be hold an Introduction to Facebook workshop to help demonstrate the uses of the social media site.

The workshop will cover privacy settings, adding friends, filtering your feed, searching for friends, and posting images from your computer and mobile device.

Registration is not required for the free event.
