9/13/2013

The city of Toledo has been awarded $1.9 million from the state and federal Environmental Protection Agencies for air permitting and monitoring.

The measure authorizes the city to accept bids and award contracts to buy supplies, equipment, and vehicles.

The Ohio EPA awarded the city a $1,340,685 grant, and the U.S. EPA awarded $607,063. A local match of $156,700 per year through 2015 is required.

Toledo City Council is expected to vote on accepting the grant and authorizing the match at its regular meeting Tuesday.
