Authorities are investigating the death of a migrant farm worker killed when he fell off his bike and into traffic Thursday.

Rufino Secundino, 55, of 11458 5 Point Rd. was pronounced dead at the scene, the Ohio Highway Patrol said. Mr. Secundino was originally from Mexico, said Lt. Jerrod Savidge, commander of the patrol’s Bowling Green post.

Mr. Secundino was riding east in Roachton Road’s westbound lane, west of Scheider Road, just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday when he lost control and fell off the bike and into the westbound lane. He was struck by a vehicle driven by Nathan Kerber, 35, of Perrysburg, the patrol said.

Mr. Kerber was not injured.

Autopsy results are expected next week.
