Bridge repairs to restrict I-75 southbound

Northbound Berdan exit also closing today

Bridge deck repairs will restrict southbound I-75 to a single lane near downtown Toledo today, the Ohio Department of Transportation announced.

From 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., repairs will be made between Erie Street and South Avenue. Similar repairs Saturday on the northbound side caused a significant traffic backup.

Also today, the northbound I-75 exit to Berdan Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. for bridge inspection. From noon to 2 p.m., the southbound I-75 entrance from Phillips Avenue also will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to nearby interchanges.

And starting at 6 p.m., the southbound I-280 exit to Curtice and Woodville roads will be closed for paving. Its reopening is scheduled for 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured to the Walbridge interchange.
