Oregon school officials have placed a bus driver on paid administrative leave while they investigate a complaint made by a motorist about her driving on I-75 near Wales Road in Wood County.

Superintendent Lonny Rivera said a woman who contacted the school district accused the driver of using the bus to hinder other vehicles from passing in the berm on Saturday when traffic slowed for a tractor-trailer accident north of the I-75 bridge.

Mr. Rivera would not give the name of the bus driver. He said the bus was transporting students who were participating in an athletic event.

"Safety is our primary concern with our kids. We take all these matters seriously," he said.
