Tracy Road expected to reopen today

Street has been closed since Wednesday due to a gas leak

Tracy Road between State Rt. 795 and Ayers Road is expected to open later today after being closed since Wednesday for repairs of a gas leak in a manhole, authorities said.

The smell of gas coming from a manhole at the intersection was reported to Columbia Gas about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Crews later repaired the road and were in the process of restoring it today, expecting the road to open about 5 p.m., said Chris Kozak, a Columbia gas spokesman.

Residents were not in danger and no disruption to gas service was anticipated, Mr. Kozak said.
