An estimated one-month sewer improvement project begins this week in Oregon.

The project includes inspecting, cleaning, and lining sanitary sewers and manholes in the right of way of Portland Street and Arthur Street under Otter Creek.

The city warns residents that the work could result in temporary interruptions to sanitary sewer service and that traffic within the project area may be restricted.

Also in Oregon, Wheeling Street will close Monday between Starr Avenue and Seaman Road for replacement of a bridge over Otter Creek.

Local access will be maintained on either side of the bridge, while through traffic will be detoured to Coy Road until the project’s completion, scheduled for Nov. 27.
