Woman killed, passenger hurt in I-475 crash

  • A Toledo woman was killed and her mother was hurt Thursday when her car collided with two tractor-trailers, causing one to flip onto its side, after crossing the median on I-475/U.S. 23 in Springfield Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.


    Lori Sheehan, 48, was pronounced dead at University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, after the 2:51 p.m. crash just north of the State Rt. 2 interchange. Passenger Marcia Michalski, 69, also of Toledo, was hurt seriously and also was taken to UTMC. Southbound I-475 was closed for nearly five hours after the crash.

    A semi overturned from a two car collision on I-475 / US 23 just north of Airport Highway on October 17, 2013
