The Toledo Police department, along with the Ohio Highway Patrol, arrested 56 people, and confiscated one gun and $6,660 worth of various drugs during a citywide gang sweep.
The operation Thursday, police said, was to “reduce gang and gun violence through proactive patrol and search warrants.”
The department said they filled out five “gang sheets” — information about individual gang members — seized $1,600 of marijuana, $4,000 worth of cocaine, and $1,060 worth of “other” drugs.
Among the arrests, four suspects were arrested on robbery warrants and another was arrested on burglary warrants.
