Village of Fayette under water boil advisory

FAYETTE, Ohio -- The village is under a water boil advisory today because of water main breaks.

The advisory is for 48 hours, starting at 8 a.m. today, according to a message on the village hall's answering machine.

The first water main break was on South Ohio Street, which was fixed about 4 a.m., and the second is at North Fayette Street and Gross Street, where it was reported about 8:30 a.m., according to the municipal office. Crews were at the scene this afternoon working to repair it.

The cause of the main breaks is under investigation.

Fayette is about 40 miles west of Toledo.
