Fueled by a $10,000 donation, Honor Flight Northwest Ohio now plans to schedule three flights for 2014 so that veterans may visit memorials in Washington, a spokesman said.

The donation came from the annual charity golf outing put together by workers at the J.M. Smucker Co. facility in Toledo. It was presented at the Honor Flight Veterans Day appreciation luncheon. The organization had planned only two expenses-paid flights for veterans next year.

Honor Flight’s fourth annual breakfast fund-raiser will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Church of St. Andrew United Methodist on Heatherdowns Boulevard. From 4:30-11:30 p.m. Saturday, a spaghetti dinner and ’50s and ’60s dance to benefit Honor Flight will be held at the Whitehouse American Legion on Providence Street.
