Ohio’s 6th District Court of Appeals agreed Friday that the city of Northwood was not obligated to produce certain red-light camera records requested by a New Philadelphia, Ohio, man.

The court upheld a December, 2012, ruling in Wood County Common Pleas Court granting summary judgment to Northwood and Mayor Mark Stoner in a complaint filed by Edward Verhovec.

In his lawsuit, Mr. Verhovec said he filed a written public-records request seeking access to all images captured by Northwood's photo traffic enforcement program, but the city had wrongfully destroyed or failed to provide all images captured by the camera.
