A 6-week old infant injured Tuesday in a traffic crash that killed his twin sister has died in a Michigan hospital, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Parker Massingill had been transferred to University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor from Toledo's Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after the crash on Fostoria Road in Wood County's Troy Township. He died there Thursday, authorities said.

The infant's sister, Presley Massingill, was pronounced dead at St. Vincent after the Tuesday incident. Their mother, Lori Massingill, 38, of Ida, Mich., who was driving the car, was injured and recently transferred from St. Vincent to a hospital in Michigan, troopers said.

Troopers said Friday their investigation of the crash continued, with attention to the speed of Ms. Massingill's car when it crossed a railroad track near the crash scene just south of the Ohio Turnpike, and whether the infants or the child-safety seats in which they rode were properly restrained in the car.
