BOWLING GREEN — A Chagrin Falls, Ohio, man who admitted to using the Internet to arrange to have sex with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl was sentenced Monday to 90 days in jail and placed on community control for three years.

Charles McClintock, 69, also was ordered by Wood County Common Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey to undergo sex offender counseling and treatment, perform 300 hours of community service, pay a $1,000 fine, and avoid using chat rooms and social media sites.

He was arrested in June, 2012, after making arrangements online to meet a Wood County sheriff’s deputy posing as a 14-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty in August to importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
