3rd suspect charged in Waterville man’s death

A Toledo man was indicted Wednesday by a Lucas County grand jury in the shooting death of a carryout owner at this Waterville Township home.

Adam Anderson, 20, of 2436 Fulton St., is charged with murder, felonious assault, and aggravated burglary. Each of the charges carries a firearms specification. He was arrested last week. The charges stem from the May 18 death of James Safadi, 34, of 8940 S. River Rd.

A new indictment was filed against James Allen. He now faces charges of aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and aggravated robbery, with gun specifications for each offense.

Ronald Rooker, 32, a neighbor, is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, and aggravated burglary in the case.

All were being held on $5 million bonds.
