BOWLING GREEN — A Perrysburg man was indicted for voter fraud by a Wood County grand jury this week for allegedly casting ballots in Ohio and Arizona in the 2012 general election.

William J. Chenevert, 60, of 620 Ashbury Dr. was charged with two counts of tampering with records and two counts of illegal voting. The tampering charge is a third-degree felony punishable by up to three years in prison. Illegal voting is a fourth-degree felony punishable by up to 18 months in prison.

Wood County Prosecutor Paul Dobson said the indictment alleges Mr. Chenevert voted by absentee ballot from both his address in Perrysburg and an address in Tucson. The allegation came to light through the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, which works with other states to investigate potential voter fraud, Mr. Dobson said.
