Toledoans are living through history.

The National Weather Service reported today that the Toledo area received 1.6 inches of snow overnight — making this January the snowiest month in the area's history.

During what is often called the Blizzard of '78, a total of 30.8 inches of snow fell during January, 1978.

With the most recent snow blanketing the area, the total snowfall for this January so far is 30.9 inches.
