Lucas Co. health agency sets up flu phone hotline

Because of increased flu activity in the area the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department has set up a flu information phone line to take calls from the public.

Call 419-213-4218 to receive information about the flu and flu shot clinics. If a caller does not reach someone immediately they should leave a message and the call will be returned as soon as possible, said Stacy Debruyne, department spokesman.

Officials also announced this week the Web site lucascountyhealth.com will be updated daily by 1 p.m. with flu hospitalizations and deaths.

The Toledo Lucas-County Health Department has also set an additional walk-in flu clinic at 635 N. Erie St. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The cost of an adult flu vaccination is $30.
