Sheriff Dale Malone’s next dog-licensing amnesty will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Sheri’s Dog Grooming, 675 Cooper St., in Monroe. Veterinarian Dr. John Hermann will be there to provide rabies vaccinations.

The next and final amnesty day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe County Animal Shelter, 911 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe. Dr. Hermann will be there to vaccinate for rabies.

During these events, dog licenses will have the standard price instead of the double price now charged because the renewal period has lapsed. Regular prices are $7.50 for a spayed or neutered dog, and $15 for a sexed dog. Questions should be addressed to the county shelter at 734-240-3125.
