Children will have to share the fun with dogs Sunday during an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. at Levis Commons. The second Dog-Diggity Easter Egg Hunt is taking place near the clock tower and lawn next to the Hilton Garden Inn.

Dogs on leashes will be on the prowl to find some treats for them, while in a different area children will look for treats of their own. Some prizes include gift cards and chocolate bunnies. The $5 registration per hunt is going toward Toledo’s PET Bull Project nonprofit.

There will be an Easter Bunny present for photos. The event is for children ages 4 to 12 and for “friendly” dogs. Money raised will go toward operating expenses for the nonprofit.

The Pet Bull Project tries to prevent animal cruelty through classes and by giving talks at schools and churches. The group also offers training classes for dogs. The organization’s caravan goes to parks and helps give pet owners proper collars, shampoo, and food as a means of keeping dogs out of shelters.
