BOWLING GREEN — An Ida, Mich., woman whose 6-week-old twins died in an automobile crash five months ago was referred Friday to the Court Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Toledo for further evaluation.

Lori Massingill, 29, has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity in Wood County Common Pleas Court to two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of endangering children for the Nov. 12 crash that killed her son, Parker Massingill, and daughter, Presley Massingill.

Ms. Massingill was northbound on Fostoria Road just south of State Rt. 163 in Troy Township when she went over a railroad track at high enough speed to become airborne and lose control of the vehicle. Judge Alan Mayberry scheduled a June 24 hearing for Ms. Massingill, who remained in the Wood County jail Friday.
