Somewhere in northwest Toledo, a dog is probably missing its favorite toy.

A suspicious package found in a parking lot outside McGregor Elementary School on Rambo Lane on Wednesday proved, after Toledo police, fire, and the bomb squad detonated it, to be nothing more than a dark blue, pill-shaped cloth toy filled with white fluff.

Patrick Hickey, Washington Local Schools’ superintendent, posted on Twitter just before 11:30 a.m. that it was a toy and said “We will always err on the side of caution with kids/staff.”

The school was not evacuated.
