The Press Club of Toledo will host a “Pressing Issues” community forum Friday with Mayor D. Michael Collins and police Chief William Moton.

The forum, which starts at 8:30 a.m., is open to the public and will be held at the Main Library downtown.

During the open discussion, called “Building Safer Communities,” Mayor Collins, Chief Moton, and other city officials will answer questions about crime in Toledo, explain how to establish a neighborhood Block Watch program, and discuss other efforts to increase safety. There also will be a live demonstration of the Toledo Police Department’s new interactive crime mapping tool.

Admission is $8 for Press Club members and $10 for nonmembers. Questions about the event or about the Press Club of Toledo can be emailed to info@toledopressclub.com.
