BOWLING GREEN — A Bowling Green man was indicted this week on charges he robbed a pharmacy inside the Wood County Hospital Medical Office Building.

Matthew Stoughton, 26, was indicted for aggravated robbery and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer for Monday’s hold-up at Jaks Public Pharmacy. The robber allegedly walked into the pharmacy about 9:15 a.m. with a gun and demanded prescription drugs.

Wood County sheriff’s deputies later arrested Mr. Stoughton near Kahler and Bradner roads just west of Pemberville after he sped away in his car from Bowling Green police officers attempting to stop his car. After his car crashed, he ran into a cornfield, but was apprehended following a search that was assisted by an Ohio Highway Patrol airplane and a helicopter from Monroe County.
