Angler drowns after fall into Fostoria reservoir

FOSTORIA — The body of a man who was fishing at a city reservoir was recovered from the water Wednesday night, police said.

Authorities received a report about 6:15 p.m. that someone fell into Fostoria Reservoir No. 2 from the shore. A witness went into the water, but was unable to find the man. Water rescue units from Hancock and Seneca counties and Toledo and Tiffin firefighters were dispatched, although Hancock and Toledo crews were canceled before they arrived.

The body was pulled from the reservoir about 7:15 p.m. by Fostoria firefighters in a boat.

Michael A. Enright, 21, of Fostoria was pronounced dead at the scene. The Hancock County coroner ordered the body sent to the Lucas County coroner‘‍s office for an autopsy.
